We're telling Congress how to fix the system!
On Feb. 5th, OFWV's Amy Jo Hutchison gave a passionate testimony to the U.S. House Oversight Committee about the realities of poverty in America.
Congressman Meadows asked Amy Jo to define 3 ways that Americans could go from needing to use safety net programs (like SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and Chip) to having financial stability and independence.
We've been handed the power to influence national policy. Now we want to know what YOU think!
So tell us, what is holding you back?
Join the Racial Justice Fight Now!
Did you know hair discrimination is legal and happening in West Virginia? In school and the workplace, black women and men are being singled out for their hair.
We can fight this! If you want to make this illegal in West Virginia, insert your contact information below and join our fight.
Did you know WV loses about $2,755 for every person who isn't counted in the Census? That funding affects our education, roads, hospitals and more!
That's why every West Virginian needs to be counted in the 2020 Census. It takes 10 minutes, your information is never shared, and it's important.
Join us and pledge to take the Census on April 1, 2020!
